Real towers. New nights.
Still Standing Water Towers is a small travel project about a very specific kind of adaptive reuse: genuine former water towers that now contain places travelers can stay.
The tower is what gets our attention. The trip underneath it is what matters next. We look for stays where the old structure still shapes the experience — the climb, the tank, the circular rooms, the height — and where the surrounding town, landscape or region gives you a reason to come back down the stairs.
What belongs here
A tower needs to have been a real working water-storage structure, and the lodging needs to occupy the tower itself in a meaningful way. Replica towers, tower-shaped houses and cottages merely standing beside a water tower do not make the cut.
What we do not pretend
We are not the property owner, booking platform or local tourism authority. Availability, pricing, amenities and access details can change, so travelers should confirm the live booking page before making plans.
